The Halcyon Days (Martin, Chatwood, Burrows)

from Tributes 1 by Robert Svilpa

The Tea Party are an excellent band - really popular in Canada and Australia, but for some reason never hit it with the American audience. Take Led Zeppelin (specifically the Kashmir style material) make it heavier, add Jim Morrison esque vocals and make the guys attractive (imagine Jon Snow playing guitar and singing -that's Jeff Martin) - and that would be The Tea Party. Even when they put out an album of electronica & industrial influenced rock they were still branded as "Moroccan Roll". But the stuff is phenomenal, AND they're great people as well - this song is one of my favorites by these guys - I've always wanted to do this in a live context, so maybe at the next show?

alone, left here in dust amidst my fears and doubts...
